We offer the aggressive cosmetologist an opportunity to excel and participate in an organization designed especially for the  professional in the beauty industry.
We offer NC State Board Certified continuing education for all cosmetologist, barbers, nail techs and esthetitions
 in chemistry, product knowledge, hair cutting (basic and design), hair coloring, hair weaving, natural hair care, hair pressing, classes for instructors and much more.
During our Annual Convention and Trade Show, leading manufacturers demonstrate their latest products and techniques on our trade floor.  We also have classes and styling competitions for students who are still in school or out of school and not working.

The National Beauty Culturists' League
   The NBCL was established in 
1919.  The National Institute of Cosmetology (NIC) was founded 
by the NBCL and is the only  accredited Cosmetology Institute in the United States.  Here is where we continue our education and earn our higher degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and Doctorate Degree in Cosmetology.  Once our cosmetologists' earn their BA degree from the NIC they are eligible to pledge our National Greek Sorority Theta Nu Sigma and our National Fraternity Sigma Nu Theta. 
Continuing Education 
Once you become a member of the NC State Beauticians & Cosmetologists' Assoc. you are eligable to receive up to 8 hours of NC State Board certified continuing education credits at no cost to you.   You can also attend classes at our Annual State Convention and receive up to 12 hours of continuing education credits. 
We contribute yearly to the United Negro College Fund and the Sickle Cell Foundation.  We give scholarships to the UNCF colleges and scholarships to first year students enrolling into the National Institute of Cosmetology headquarted in Washington DC.
Membership is open to all licensed persons in the cosmetology industry (Cosmetologists, Barbers, Nail Technicians, Estheticians and vendors). 
When you join a local cosmetologist chapter in your area you are eligible for membership in the NCSBCA.
